What is a product roadmap?

Think of a product roadmap like your class lesson plans. You sit down to brainstorm and develop what your lesson plans are for the week, month, or year for each level to make sure you and your instructors are prepared and consistent in what you are teaching.

A product roadmap is also a plan. More specifically, it’s the result of our Product team getting together to brainstorm and develop the enhancement and innovation plans for the year to make sure you and your team are able to work smarter, not harder.

Jackrabbit’s 2021 Product Roadmap includes a lineup full of enhancements that are meant to give you the gift of time. Partnering with you in your swim schools, gymnastics and cheer gyms, dance studios, and music schools shows that we are bigger, better, and smarter as ONE.

Parent experience upgrades

We know that if your customers have a great experience, then so will you! And customer service might be the most important competitive edge you have right now.

That’s why the Jackrabbit team wants to make the family experience as smooth as possible by updating the Parent Portal to:

• give new and existing families a consistent experience when registering and enrolling in new classes,
• automatically post registration fees with new enrollments, and
• require payment to complete enrollment for classes and events like a true online shopping experience.

Multiple policies

Do you host summer camps? Do you have a competitive team? Do you have classes that have different rules and expectations? If you answered yes to any of those, this enhancement is specifically for you!

With the changes to how your youth activity center operates due to COVID-19, it became more apparent that having multiple sets of policies for your classes, sessions, teams, etc. was more needed than ever before.

Private lessons

This year, the Jackrabbit team is focused on researching and learning more about private lessons, when and how they are used, and the functionality that is needed by our clients to support scheduling and managing them. Our goal is to streamline the process and keep as much of the operations as possible in the Jackrabbit application.

With so many different scenarios, there is a lot to uncover here but we are looking forward to working towards one of our most popular ideas in the Idea Portal.

Spot TV integration phase 2

It’s no secret that Jackrabbit takes great pride in the partners we choose to integrate with. Last year, we debuted our exclusive partnership with Spot TV, a live streaming service that connects right to the Jackrabbit Parent Portal.

This year, we are taking the integration a step further to streamline how you assign cameras and classes, as well as how you manage groups on the administrative backend for the streaming service.
