Improved communication options for Events
Whether you use Events in Jackrabbit to host birthday parties, parent’s night out or summer camps, being able to easily communicate with anyone enrolled in the event is a must. In the past, sending an email was the standard option offered but since our newest enhancement release, you now have the option to send a text message or push notification. This is especially helpful when you have time-sensitive information that you need to communicate as soon as possible. (—> Check out the help documentation on Event communication)
The Jackrabbit team knows how important segmented communication is to ensure that the right people receive the right message at the right time. Throughout 2022, you will see consistency among communication options (email, text, and push notifications) added throughout the Jackrabbit application.
New option to require reagreement for Policies
If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the years of enhancing existing features and building new ones, is that the work never stops. From user feedback to a change in needs over time, our team is always open and listening to ways they can improve features, new and old.
Last month, the ability to customize policies by class was released and it was instantly a fan favorite. While the new feature gave more flexibility than ever before when it came to policies and agreements, the option to require reagreement was less streamlined than clients desired – until now. With a new option to select the policies you want and require reagreement en masse, you can ensure you always have a recent policy agreement on file for your families.
More benefits added when entering Staff Availability
The easier something is for your staff, the more likely they are to do it, right? Allowing your staff to enter their own availability and time off has been one of the most exciting wins of 2022 so far for a few reasons:
- Staff availability and time off can be entered through the Jackrabbit application or the Staff Portal.
- This is the foundation of developing a better way to manage and schedule private lessons.
- After a successful beta and a few weeks of use after release, we’ve got updates to make it even better.
Now, when staff enters availability or time off, they can check the box labeled ‘Same Day Entry’, to easily add another entry for the same day. Fewer steps to follow equals more time saved for you and your team!

New option for notification of Staff Availability changes
Another update to Staff Availability is especially helpful for you as an owner or manager. Giving your staff the ownership of inputting their own availability and time off saves time and effort for everyone involved. But that doesn’t mean you don’t want to keep a pulse on what’s entered.
Introducing: Jackrabbit’s latest feature regarding notifications for Staff Availability. With a new option in place, you can enable the setting and enter an email address or multiple email addresses that will receive an email notification when availability changes are made.
Updated email editor for ePayments receipts
Have you ever gone to a family’s account to process a transaction and wanted to update the approval receipt to have additional resources or information relative to the transaction? If this sounds familiar, we’ve got the perfect solution available now!
At the time of processing a single ePayment transaction, you can opt to edit the receipt (as you did previously) but now, you will see an email editor that you are familiar with that allows for formatting, such as font style, font and background colors, adding links, and much more. With this new update, you can ensure that your communication is effective yet professional!
