5 steps to working through the Jackrabbit Training System
You are probably thinking ‘no way, this unlimited training resource is too good to be true’. I assure you, it’s not. The Jackrabbit Training System is a one-stop shop for your new employee who needs to learn Jackrabbit in order to get started with their new role at your youth activity center.
The system is not meant to teach new staff everything about Jackrabbit but is meant as a starting point to help new staff get comfortable with their main day-to-day tasks. These five simple steps will get your new staff member up and running before you know it!
1. Learn the basics
Always start with the basics. No matter the topic, basics are a foundation for maximizing new knowledge.
Under each lesson, the topics can be expanded to read more. Some topics include help videos for those who are more visual.
2. Choose the role and get started
The rest of the training system is separated into user roles:
- Front Desk staff
- Coaches / Instructors and Staff
- Supervisors and Managers
While each activity center’s processes and procedures may vary from one to the next, the training system focuses on what a typical staff member would do in that seat. Working through each lesson will expand your new employee’s knowledge and allow you to work through your tasks at the same time!
3. Practice makes perfect
Haven’t we all heard that from a young age? Well, it couldn’t be more true here.
Reading and watching videos is one thing. But working through examples will have both you and your new employee feeling confident when it is time to perform the tasks in real life.
4. Need more help?

Sure, there will be things to learn along the way but think about how much they learned on-demand while you kept the program going – no time lost!
How can your new staff get started with the Jackrabbit Training System
First things first: your new staff member will need a user ID. Since they are a newbie, show them how to log in the first time and verify the user ID works.
From the help button on the dashboard, they can access Staff Training Options to get started!
