5 reasons to take advantage of Jackrabbit’s virtual training opportunities

Virtual events aren’t new – you’ve likely jumped on a few webinars, demonstrations or Jackrabbit Class training calls once or twice before.

The news that preventative social distancing may be around longer than we initially expected means that you’ll start to see many of your favorite conferences pivot from in-person to digital events.

While you may have considered contingency and growth plans for most elements of your youth activity business, it could be easy to overlook your professional development and that of your coaches, instructors and administrators.

The value of face-to-face networking and in-person training will never go away. But while we tackle this new-normal together, can digital events really enable you and your team to sharpen your professional skills? I think, with the right content and hosts, they can!

Wait wait, don’t run off just yet, hear me out.

5 advantages of Jackrabbit virtual training opportunities

Easy on the budget

You might have been hesitant in the past to attend a conference or send more than one member of the team. With most virtual training opportunities, your cost is minimal, if not totally free.  Even if the training you want to take advantage of has a registration fee, you can scratch travel, hotel accommodations and food expenses off the list of things to worry about.

Online conferences and events take the extra fees and stress off your plate so you can focus more on what you and your team need to get out of the training itself.

Convenient

Conferences can be a lot of fun – especially when you consider that they’re typically hosted in hot spots like Vegas, New York City, Chicago and Orlando. Because of their locations, they’re not always easy to get to. You’ve got to consider travel expenses as well as family and personal events you may miss while away. Not to mention the sometimes difficult time of trying to connect with staff back home while working remotely between sessions. With online conferences, you can attend sessions from the comfort of your own home or office.

Easily and Readily Accessible

In most cases, the content that is streamed during the live portion of the conference is hosted later for all attendees so you can go back and access sessions you missed or wanted to dive deeper into.

Registration usually gets you access to bonus content, too, like live chat with other attendees, downloads and premium content or exclusive offers. When you opt for an online conference, scheduling conflicts go out the window because you can watch and rewatch sessions whenever you need to.

No-Stress Wardrobe Selection

Bye-bye dress shirts and uncomfortable shoes. See ya, later business casual and helloooo yoga pants and last-year’s open house t-shirt.

If you’re anything like me, you stress about what type of clothes you’re  going to need for daytime functions and then evening transitions, nights out and what is “conference-appropriate.” You end up over or under packing and never really get it just right.

Leave all that stress behind because no one sees you when you attend an online conference, so you don’t have to give throwing on your favorite sweats a second thought. Get comfy and we’ll meet you on the couch.

Finally – the whole team can attend

When you consider hitting the road and attending an in-person conference, there are plenty of barriers to getting your whole team there.

For one, the cost of getting every administrator, manager and instructor to the conference is a huge investment. Even if you can pull that off, you’d have to shut down the gym or studio to pull it off. You’d have no one back home hosting classes for your parents and students and that really isn’t an option.

With virtual summits you can stagger schedules and professional development time and allow your team to access them during breaks that don’t conflict with their instruction schedules.

See? We might have to let go of some of the things we like most about conferences and events but I think we gain a whole lot, too, by making the move to virtual training. You can also start the transition to digital training slowly before you dive into a full-day conference experience.

Jackrabbit Classroom Training

One of our most popular training options has been our classroom training, formerly Jackrabbit Basics and Jackrabbit Beyond the Basics, our group training options have a brand new look for 2020 and are better than they’ve ever been. There are two different trainings that cater to different learning styles or user roles.

  1. Jackrabbit foundations. The first level of Jackrabbit group training is ideal for clients who are new to Jackrabbit or just want to take it back to the beginning for a fresh start. Jackrabbit foundations covers top features and step-by-step instructions on how to start using them. This comprehensive training is typically offered once each quarter but may increase to meet the demand as needed.
  2. Jackrabbit LevelUP. Ready to take it up a notch or move at a quicker pace? LevelUP is the perfect fit for you. This session features a more comprehensive look into your system usage at a quicker pace. Don’t miss the opportunity for Q&A and networking with other power users just like you.

Jackrabbit BOOST User Conference

Believe it or not, before the whole world had to make the move to remote meetings, the team here at Jackrabbit had already made the decision to move our popular user conference, BOOST, to a virtual platform.

Traditionally, BOOST was held twice a year, bi-coastal. While we impacted hundreds of users and delivered an experience unlike any other, we still have more ground to cover and wanted the chance to impact more Jackrabbit users across the globe. Moving to a totally virtual conference allows us to do just that and to meet you and your teams right where you are.

Save the Date:
December 7-8

With most industry conferences and events moving to a virtual offering, it’s important that you make the most of your experience. Follow along with the agenda, engage on social media and do your best to stay plugged in. The only way you’ll experience the full benefits of the online tracks is to sign up, show up, and engage with the presenters and attendees. If you take advantage of virtual learning and love it, tell people about it! The more online conference providers and trainers know what works and what doesn’t, the more engaging opportunities will rise to the top!
