We are pleased to announce that you can text your customers directly from your Jackrabbit application using Twilio, a leader in SMS messaging.
Twilio is an expensive way to communicate time-sensitive messages with your customers. Here are the details:
- Purchase multiple numbers so you can send more texts daily without issue.
- Allows US and Canada to purchase numbers within your own area code.
- Twilio attempts to send text using the same “From” number to the same families for each text. This allows your families to recognize the number and save to their contacts.
- Cost is $1.00/month for each telephone number, and $0.0075 per text message in the US and Canada. Other Countries will vary. Please review pricing link following: https://www.twilio.com/sms/pricing
Customer service at Twilio is excellent, and the service is easy to set up. You’ll find this under Tools > Edit Settings > Text Messages.

After you click Connect, you’ll see the following screen:
Complete the form and click the “Authorize” button and you’ll be ready to go.  To send SMS Text messages, use Families > Email/Text Families.
