With the year coming to a close, people around the world are reflecting on 2022. The wins, the fails, and everything in between is worth reflecting on.

Jackrabbit had a year full of growth, exciting events, and the small moments that make us, ‘us’. Celebrate 2022 with us through this quick recap of some of our favorite moments from this past year.

1. 2022 Industry Benchmark Report

With data from over 8,000 businesses, the Industry Benchmark Report provided insights and takeaways from businesses in your industry. Youth activity centers across the world used this annual report to see how they stacked up and identified areas in need of growth.

2. Yardstik

Through a commitment to helping youth activity centers hire the best of the best, an integration with the human security platform, Yardstik was a top priority for the year. Being able to perform background screenings with the click of a button and the ability to track all data in one database was a game changer for many. (Learn about YardStik →)

3. Sort-A-Rama

In September, the Jackrabbit staff teamed up with the Second Harvest Food Bank of North Carolina to participate in their annual Sort-A-Rama event. Partnered with the Blue Cross Blue Shield team, we packed a total of 842 boxes to contribute to the total 16,000 boxes packed that day. 

4. International Women’s Day

To celebrate both International Women’s Day, the women who own and operate businesses in the youth activities industry and the women of Jackrabbit that amaze us each and every day hosted a live Q&A panel. Full of career reflections, tips on balancing it all, and leadership-related advice, the day was filled with inspiring conversations. (Watch the live event replay here →)

5. Studio Growth Week 

The dynamic duo, Jackrabbit and Dance Studio Owners Association teamed up to bring studio owners Studio Growth Week. A week full of free training packed with industry insights and tips on helping you dream big when it comes to your studio. At the end of the week, hearts were full and plans were being made everywhere to implement new learnings. 

6. Tradeshow Season

Each year, Jackrabbit staff look forward to hitting the road again to see clients and industry friends. 2022 was full of both domestic and international travel as we attended 22 trade shows across North America. 

7. Student Enrollment Case Study

The first-ever case study on student enrollment was published and the crowd went wild. Carolyn Wells, Owner of Dance by Design Studios, gave us an inside look at how she was able to use Jackrabbit and grow her student count by 736%! (Download the case study here →)

8. Voted #1 Dance Studio Software

Studio owners ranked dance software based on features and Jackrabbit came out on top! Being voted the best dance studio software through Tututix’s annual survey has us doing an air fist pump. 

9. Multiple Policies Enhancement

In early 2022, the Jackrabbit Product Team released an eagerly awaited enhancement – Multiple Policies. This enhancement allows for the ability to create customized policies for different classes, preventing parents from having to sign policies that weren’t needed for their child’s classes. 

Throughout the year, the Product Team refined this enhancement so that every youth activity center would have the perfect process for policies.

10. Jackrabbit Became a Matchmaker

11. Gym Growth Week

This year was about growth and what better way to put your gym on the fast track than to attend Gym Growth Week. Jackrabbit partnered with the team at Next Generation Gym Owners to create an event that would get business booming in the Fall. 

12. The Jackrabbit Newsroom

With so much happening at Jackrabbit, keeping up with the news is a difficult feat. That’s where the Newsroom comes in! With information on recent awards, events, and organizations we support, the Newsroom is a single location for all the fun happenings at Jackrabbit. (Stay up to date on Jackrabbit news here →)

13. Company Growth

2022 was a record-breaking year in many ways at Jackrabbit, but one of the most significant is the growth our staff count experienced. For the first time ever we are now a triple-digit company when it comes to staff employed. 

14. Ignite 2022

It’s hard to summarize an out-of-this-world virtual conference in a few sentences. Ignite was that much fun. A two-day conference with business building sessions that were focused on the youth activities industry, sneak peeks at upcoming enhancements, networking, personalized tours of Jackrabbit with a Product Coach, and more! 

15. Staff Availability Enhancement

You can now put the responsibility in your staff’s hands with the Staff Availability feature. By tracking staff availability within the Staff Portal, you can eliminate errors that were caused by miscommunication and avoid scheduling conflicts (See more about this enhancement →)

16. Referral Program Release

Jackrabbit clients are always singing our praises and we thought it was about time to reward them with some $ off their monthly bills. Through the new referral program, clients get rewarded when they share their personal referral link and the person they referred joins Jackrabbit. 

17. Client Visits

One of Jackrabbit’s Core Values is Connecting with Others and in 2022, every staff member made it a priority to visit at least one client to learn about their business and how they use Jackrabbit each and every day.

18. The Baubles & Bowties Gala

Hosted by Miller Street Dance Academy and benefitting Dancers Against Cancer, the Baubles & Bowties Gala is one of our favorite events of the year. This year, we visited Miller Street the week before the event and got to see their awesome team in action. 

19. Birthday Party Webinar

A new webinar series hit the web and focused on generating revenue. The first in the series focused on everything related to birthday parties. With a panel of Jackrabbit clients who have experienced revenue growth through hosting events like birthday parties, this webinar focused on best practices, package ideas, and really got down to the nitty-gritty. 20. Food For Thought

One of our favorite things to do is support our community and clients and when we get the chance to combine the two, it’s all in. 

The first Food for Thought event was hosted for Jackrabbit clients in the Charlotte area. This event celebrated Chasta Hamilton’s new book, Handle the Horrible, allowed clients to network with other local industry professionals, talk goal setting with Jackrabbit CEO, Mark Mahoney, and give back with a food drive benefitting the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte. Getting to know our clients and their businesses was just the icing on the cake. 

21. Fall Training

With the highest registration rates ever, this year’s Fall Training knocked it out of the park. This free training for new Jackrabbit clients or those who may want a refresher, is integral in setting clients up for success. 

22. New In-App Resource Center for Jackrabbit Clients

Information at the tip of your fingers is the best way to make sure you use Jackrabbit to its full capability. With the new in-app resource center, you’re aware of all new enhancements, help center information and upcoming events.
