Jackrabbit gives Jim Giurleo a flexible database for organizing his Prodigy Program’s data and helps him to prepare it for his unique report formats.
VISIBILITY INTO DATA INTENSIVE PROGRAM | Jackrabbit handles just about everything that Westwood Public School’s Prodigy Program throws at it and that is a challenge since the program that Jim Giurleo developed is about as data intensive as a program could be – and it is virtual too. To be able to look into one system and see what happening with more than 25 instructors across four buildings helps him to maintain control over what is going on and access to data that keeps the program going.
JACKRABBIT’S FLEXIBILITY SHINES | Jim must provide a unique format to his school district so that his instructors are accurately paid. Jim is amazed at how easily he can use his data from Jackrabbit in another specialized program. This perfectly illustrates Jackrabbit’s flexibility. Jim can correlate his reports in Jackrabbit to his upload requirements. What he needs is so organization-specific that a more mainstream solution like Jackrabbit can’t be expected to carry these customizations.
“I know from previous experience that Jackrabbit works better for me than the other options available for managing data. Many of our needs are very customized so finding a flexible system that works for many of my needs is a tremendous help in maintaining control of the program.”
The way classes can be copied in Jackrabbit helps Jim tremendously, as does the software’s registration options. Jim has used Jackrabbit’s templates to create his own custom statements that he emails out to families. The transaction capabilities give Jim a powerful financial infrastructure for making sure that families get accurate and timely information.
“I absolutely love Copy Classes because it makes it easier for me to accommodate the report format that I must send to the school district. I’ve created my own statements using Jackrabbit’s templates and they are a quick click away.”
Jim is passionate about the Prodigy Program. You could say that it is his baby since it was created through his post-retirement efforts in providing a program to nurture children who are uniquely talented. Jackrabbit helps Jim use technology to keep him away from his desk and working with students at the piano.
