National Wear Red Day® is tomorrow so support Go Red for Women!
If you don’t have something red to wear to show that you support the battle against women’s heart disease, please make your way to a retail venue close by and find a shirt, dress, scarf, or hat!
Why Go Red?
The truth is that cardiovascular disease in the U.S. kills approximately one woman every 80 seconds. Read that again. If you’re a woman, that is really scary. If you’re not – it’s scary too – because you have wives, mothers, and sisters who could fall victim to this rampant disease.
The good news is that 80 percent of cardiac events may be prevented with education and lifestyle changes. Go Red For Women advocates for more research and swifter action for women’s heart health. Wearing red shines the light on this in a big way!
So wear red tomorrow on National Wear Red Day® and Donate to Go Red For Woman.
Doing this helps support educational programs to increase women’s awareness and critical research to discover scientific knowledge about cardiovascular health.
Read these eye-popping numbers. There are facts and factors that can help save the lives of more women each year that more are aware and educated!
