Brookhaven Country Club Aquatics runs a seasonal swim program. Because the country club is owned by a large parent corporation, it runs all of its financials through corporate software. Christina Lowery who is the Swim Lesson Program Director uses Jackrabbit to manage her classes and families.

This makes it really interesting for Christina. While she knows that she could do everything through Jackrabbit, she must leverage Jackrabbit’s flexibility to run it in parallel with the corporate software.

“Jackrabbit makes it easy to capture, manage and find class and family information. Take emergency information as an example. I can get to it quickly and I can feel quite confident that it is accurate.”

This sounds easy until you remember that Christina has to operate Jackrabbit parallel to the corporate software the associated family accounts can actually be charged.

Using Parallel Software Programs is Achievable

All of Christina’s student, family, class, and tuition information is in her Jackrabbit database. Christina uses Jackrabbit to calculate totals owed by each family without having to use any manual processes.  The attendance features automate the creation of class roles. Pulling select reports gets Christina information that she needs to know during lesson time – like who has outstanding charges – and critical information that she needs to do her only manual process which is entering amounts owed into the corporate software.

“What makes this parallel process achievable is the fact that Jackrabbit has amazing reports. I easily and quickly pull the information the country club needs in order to charge families. Without the reports, I have no idea how long it would take to sync up all of the informational details so that the charges in the corporate system are correct and match up to what the parents are expecting to pay.”

Seasonal User Watches Improvements Unfold

Remember that Brookhaven’s swim program is seasonal. Christina doesn’t use either software for about 4 months of the year. If you think this makes it even more difficult for Christina because she also has to catch up on several months’ worth of Jackrabbit enhancements, you’re mistaken.

“I absolutely love the way Jackrabbit enhances the software. Each season, I’m excited to see what has changed. I quickly understand most of the enhancements because they are a natural progression that layers enhancements on top of features in a way that makes sense. I set up a call with support to ask my list of questions and always get efficient answers. Support is very intuitive about the way I work and how much information I need. There are no dumb questions. In fact, they make me feel very comfortable about jumping into the software right away and make it seamless for me to go from season to season.”

Jackrabbit believes in continuous improvement, developing enhancements at a rapid pace: more than 250 notable enhancements in 2016 alone. Christina says that there are always things that she wants the software to do, but at Jackrabbit’s enhancement pace, some of them may be done when she logs in again next season.
