Hurricane Sandy hit the United States just a few weeks ago and left quite a path. This time has felt like centuries to so many Americans suffering from the aftermath of the storm. Losing power for weeks, being stuck in their homes with no heat, and hoping that their preparations for the storm will be enough to survive.
The American Red Cross has been a huge contributor to providing food, water, blankets, and other materials for survival. The victims of this storm have been able to receive so much help from the American Red Cross from donations and volunteers.
More than 90% of the American Red Cross work force is composed of volunteers. They are the ones who have made sure that the materials are passed out and help clean up destruction.
Jackrabbit Technologies supported the efforts of the American Red Cross with a $1000 donation. We are so happy to be able to support such a great organization and to see the incredible impact these materials have on the lives of our fellow citizens.
Join us in donating to the American Red Cross today. Any amount is greatly appreciated and will be used to save these victims. Volunteer if you are in the Northeast and can get out to help clean up the streets.
If donating and volunteering are not possible for you right now, please help us spread the word. Share this post, share our link on Facebook, and tell others how they can help. There is also a list of ways to help here.
This infographic made by the American Red Cross shows what they have done as of November 13, 2012. Follow their Facebook page for more updates to see how much progress has been made.
Thank you in advance for supporting these relief operations.
