Jackrabbit Tips & Tricks

Parents Can Enroll For Classes Through Facebook

Here’s the scenario:
You’re itching to offer your families online options for registration, payments and account and event tracking, but your studio doesn’t have a website.

You might think you’re out of luck – but you’re not!

You can make doing business with your organization very convenient by simply sharing webpage links for class listings, online registration, parent portal and event calendar, via Facebook, in emails, or on printed flyers!

Website not required

Since Jackrabbit actually hosts the webpages for your online features, the existence of an organization website isn’t necessary for making them accessible to your customers. All you need to do is find a good way to deliver these links to them.

Embed your schedule to a Facebook tab

Make it easy for your customers to sign up for classes wherever they are. Adding a custom tab in Facebook will sync your class openings with Jackrabbit. Click here for a full list of steps.

Post your links on Facebook

Simply post your link as you would a link to an interesting article or fun video. Those you’ve allowed to view this post will be able to access your class listings, registration forms, parent portal, or events calendar and complete whatever activity it is they are trying to do.

Example:

FB blog

As soon as you click “post,” your online registration will be open via Facebook!

Use emails to link your customers to your class listings

You can be very specific with which class tables you share and target parents of the students eligible for your classes.

Here is an example of how you can list this in your email:

email blog

Hyperlink the class names so that your parents can easily click to the classes that you want them to see.

Example:

class table blog

When they click on the register link next to the class they want, they will be taken to your registration form where they can complete all of their registration and payment information – just as they would if you were listing these classes on a website.

Linking your events calendar from your email works in the same way as the class listings!

Example:

calendar blogAfter you’ve inserted your calendar link in your email text, your customers would be able to see your calendar of events.

You may also provide a link to the parent portal that will take parents directly to their login page.

Example:

portal blog

Include convenient online links on postcards

You may want to send your families a post card with a list of all of the links they will need to use your convenient online options.

Example:

Mail Card blog

When they type these links into their browsers, they will be able to access whichever online tools you’ve provided links to.

Thrill your parents and amaze your staff

While those with websites are glamorous, you may not yet be in the position to build one for your organization, Facebook, emails and printed pieces can give you good alternatives for giving customers online access before you have your website.

The convenience to your customers is amazing. They will love you even more for it.

Giving your parents access to registration, account information, event information and your class listings can be life-changing for your staff. Time savings in entering registration information along is huge. They also will be freed up from answering phone in questions and account management details for parents.
