February 8, 2021 – Jackrabbit Technologies announces its product plans for 2021- continuing the advancement of its product – even as the COVID-19 pandemic persists.
“It’s vitally important for us to keep enhancements and new capabilities coming as they will help in putting 2020 behind us. Our Product Team sought out themes of Automation and Parent Experience Upgrades that will help clients leverage whatever their positions are as they navigate 2021,” notes Jackrabbit CEO, Mark Mahoney.
Jackrabbit Technologies, the leading provider of cloud-based class management software, is focused on Automation and Parent Experience Upgrades that will benefit the people Jackrabbit clients are serving – parents. Set & Forget Tuition Billing, laying the groundwork for Private Lessons, offering Multiple Policy options, and upgrading the Parent Experience are the exciting highlights the Product Team detailed to the entire staff during Jackrabbit’s January annual meeting.
Here are a few details on each feature item:
Set It & Forget It Tuition Billing
By harnessing the power of automation, clients can let Jackrabbit do the work and they can get back to their businesses.
Clients can post tuition and schedule payment processing ahead of time – literally being able to ‘set it and forget it’. Tuition will automatically post and ePayments will process in the background.
“Set It and Forget It is critical! I need to be able to live life without the interruption of setting off billing manually. Automation without giving up the ability to ‘check and correct’ is perfect.” Libby DeRusha, Edge Dance & Performing Arts Center
“I’m excited to see Set It and Forget It Tuition Billing is completely ready for use! Even with our unique situation billing by Membership Type, we are excited that this enhancement is on the way!” Buffy Folise, Chicago Swim School
“Set It and Forget It will be a great feature because it will allow us to harness the power of the Internet in this Tuition Billing process.” Anne Lewis, Live To Dance Academy
“I’m REALLY excited about several of the enhancements – especially the upgrades to the section on Private Lessons and the Set it & Forget it for Tuition & Billing! Of course, I’m excited about the other changes, but these two are my favorites!” Meg O’Neil, American Ballet Academy
Laying Private Lesson Groundwork
Jackrabbit acknowledges that seamless workflows for one-on-one student lessons are a need for clients. That’s why 2021 will be the year for laying the groundwork for private lessons.
The goal is to make progress towards eliminating the necessity to use additional platforms to manage private lessons!
“Our staff actually schedules all of their own private lessons and rents the rooms from us. We basically need the function so we don’t overbook the studio space. Parents consistently text our staff to book private lessons but would prefer for parents to have a place to sign up for times. We would be happy to see and type of private lesson booking feature that doesn’t affect classes and that isn’t simply a workaround.” Libby DeRusha, Edge Dance & Performing Arts Center
“Updating the Private Lessons will give us the ability to be more creative in the way we schedule our private lessons and the options that we offer.” Buffy Folise, Chicago Swim School
“Private Lessons is of particular interest for our Dance classes because it will provide flexibility in a studio with a lot of moving pieces. COVID-19 has made the need for flexibility even more obvious.” Anne Lewis, Live To Dance Academy
I’m REALLY excited about several of the enhancements – especially the upgrades to the section on Private Lessons. Private Lessons are a huge part of our business as a Ballet Studio – especially with COVID-19 this past year – and having a simpler format and easier bookings will make a tremendous difference for my time as an Administrator.” Meg O’Neil, American Ballet Academy
Offering Multiple Policies
Clients will have the option and flexibility to customize policies so they can clearly communicate and set expectations for families.
“With 2 locations, being able to have different policies for each one will be fantastic! This gives us the opportunity to have specific policies for classes like the ones for our babies. It gives us greater potential for making specific policies for the Adult classes we’re adding.” Buffy Folise, Chicago Swim School
“I’m excited about the Multiple Policies addition. My brain is whirling about all the ways I can use this for our different levels and types of classes. COVID-19 has really cut off communication with our families – anything that helps clarify can only be a good thing!” Meg O’Neil, American Ballet Academy
“Multiple Policies is absolutely a must and the ability to choose the session for the policy would work well.” Anne Lewis, Live To Dance Academy
Creating Parent Experience Upgrades
Clients can tailor their customer service with an upgraded family experience in the Parent Portal.
New families in the Parent Portal will have the same experience as existing families largely due to the redesigned registration process. The power in this feature lies in the ability to automatically post registration fees with new enrollments and require payment to complete enrollment in classes and events.
“Per session registration fees in the Parent Portal would solve a huge headache and lost income for me!” Libby DeRusha, Edge Dance & Performing Arts Center
“Parent Portal upgrades would be AMAZING!” Katy Skinner, TEGA Kids Superplex
“Making the Registration process easier is always better. Quick and Easy is what Parents are looking for!” Buffy Folise, Chicago Swim School
The 2021 Product Roadmap is something Jackrabbit does to express its commitment to clients over the next 12 months so they have a structure around which they can plan implementing improved processes and training on new features. Jackrabbit provides its Product Roadmap as a system of accountability that is rare in its industry.
“We’re putting our stake in the ground in a detailed 2021 Product Roadmap. We’ve selected these 4 roadmap components because they will support every client’s effort to return to our ‘new normal’ regardless if they are a dance studio, a gymnastics gym, or a swim school. We’re excited to meet the challenge of this aggressive plan,” finalizes Mike Carper, Jackrabbit’s chief technology architect.
