Alleviate the middle-man – Email Upgrades for the Staff Portal

Allowing instructors to send emails is just one of many things your teachers can do from Jackrabbit’s Staff Portal. However, if a family replied to an instructor’s email, it would come to you or someone in your front office. For some that is preferable. But for those that want teachers to address email replies, you have likely felt like the middle-man.

New Option for Reply To Email Address

In the scenario where you prefer replies to emails sent via the Staff Portal go to your organization’s designated email address…not to worry. No action is needed on your part – no changes were automatically made.

For those of you interested in allowing teachers to receive email replies, with the latest enhancement you get to decide per staff member. It is not a global setting so you can pick and choose who you feel comfortable giving this responsibility to. If you have not setup up the Staff Portal yet, you can use our Guided Staff Portal Setup for quick and easy setup!

If you are already rockin’ and rollin’ with the Staff Portal, you can make adjustments for multiple staff members at one time by going to Staff Portal > Settings > Edit All Staff Portal Settings. Once you select which staff members you want to make the change for, you will see some new options.

You can also change the setting for an individual staff member by going to their Staff Record > Portal Settings tab.

How do you keep up with it?

Since you can customize the email reply to settings per instructor, it may be hard to remember who can do what. We made it easy for you!

In Tools > Edit Settings > Notifications, we have added Staff Portal Emails to the bottom section with ePayments, Texting, and Events. Not only can you easily see which email address the replies are going to but we have a column for Notification Setting so you can quickly verify if they are allowed to email or not.

What will Instructors see?

When your instructors are logged in to the Staff Portal, they can email an entire class or a single student’s contacts. Either approach they take, they will see the email address that is receiving replies as they create their email subject and message.

With the added flexibility in emailing from the Staff Portal, your instructors can stay connected with their student’s families.
