A Day In The Life: Lynda Vigor

Ever wonder who is working behind the computer for Jackrabbit? We promise, we’re real! This series will introduce folks at Jackrabbit and share a little more about our team than you may see on our website.

From: North Vancouver, BC
Lives In: Kamloops, BC
Joined Jackrabbit: March 2015
Job Title: Software Support Representative

If you could only keep 5 possessions, what would the be? My motorcycle, coffee pot, trailer or house [some type of living accommodation] to have a roof over her head, wedding bands, and shoes. I need my shoes! Specifically my vast collection of flip flops!

What is the best compliment you have received?  I was working and a customer thanked me for the help and said it was perfectly explained. This made me do the happy dance because getting the words to my fingers has been the hardest part of the job so far.

What is your favorite music? Old, classic rock-n-roll.

Have you ever been pulled over by a cop? Yes, on my motorcycle – they wanted to check to make sure I had a real license. Girl riding alone is a red flag…?

What is your strongest personal quality? My sense of humor. The ability to laugh makes stress a lot easier to deal with when you can just go ‘whatever’.

Why did you choose this profession? I’m entering the next phase of my life – my husband has retired and I like that Jackrabbit is a virtual, work from home company. I have been involved in software education for 15 years and wanted to do something that doesn’t tie me to a brick and mortar location and also allows me to do something I love. I am very passionate about helping people use software.
