What is your perfect pizza? Regular crust, onions, tomatoes, olives, mushrooms and pepperoni.
If you could only keep 5 possessions, what would the be? iPad to read, photo of family, pillow [sleep lover], radio to listen to music and a notebook to write in.
What is the best compliment you have received? When my daughter said I was the best mommy she knows.
What is your favorite music? Pop.
What are your top 3 favorite books? Lord of the Rings, Outlander and anything written by Guy Gavriel Kay.
What is your strongest personal quality? Good listener.
Why did you choose this profession? I have been in software support before and really enjoyed it. When I had a family, I didn’t want to travel as much. I’m really excited to work with Jackrabbit customers and use my technical view to help them navigate through the software.
A little more about Carla…
Carla Streifel grew up on the West Coast of British Columbia, and lives in Surrey, BC, about 45 minutes south of Vancouver. She has her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia as well as her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Toronto. Soon after receiving her MBA, she became an Implementation Consultant for a Vancouver technology firm, implementing and supporting treasury management software for clients across North America. This role provided her with a strong background and excellent experience in Software Support.
Carla has also held a variety of leadership positions at a Canada-wide telephone directory publisher, mainly in Operations and Sales Support. She decided to leave the work-force and stay home during her daughter’s early years, while working part-time as a freelance marketing assistant to real estate agents.
Carla enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter at their vacation property in Washington State. She also likes gardening, reading and Doctor Who, and recently discovered that she loves yoga.
