March 8, 2021 – Jackrabbit Technologies’ co-founder, Mark Mahoney, accepted honors for his company’s growth in the first-ever virtual Bulldog 100 event presented by the University of Georgia Alumni Association on February 8th to recognize its graduates who have launched and grown businesses. Even though the COVID-19 pandemic changed the format of the program, the accomplishments of Bulldog 100 companies were revealed in the traditional countdown to #1 ranking reveal.
Jackrabbit Technologies was recognized for the 11th year in the 12 year history of the event. The company’s results over the past three years catapulted its position in the Bulldog 100 rankings from #98 in 2020 to rank #85 in 2021. Jackrabbit’s 84 employees focus the development and support of its class management cloud-based software on the needs of its 6,000+ clients who are owners and managers of dance studios, gymnastics and cheer gyms, swim schools, and child care centers in 28 countries around the world.
“I am honored that Jackrabbit Technologies continues to reach the growth levels required to earn recognition among Bulldog companies that produced an aggregated compound growth rate of 49% in 2020. As a longtime recipient of this award, I’m also excited to be among the 58 repeat Bulldog-owned companies on the list and welcome the 42 newcomers to the list,” says Mark Mahoney, Jackrabbit Technologies’ CEO and co-founder .
Mark was a 1983 graduate of the Terry College of Business with a BBA and is actively engaged in the alumni program in the Terry College.
Bulldog 100 companies have amassed $46 billion in revenues across the 12 years of the awards program. This is quite significant since UGA is 10th among US universities in its innovative impact. To be considered for the program, these organizations must have been in business with revenue of $100,000 or more for at least 5 years, and be owned or operated by a former UGA student who owns at least 50% of the company or is the CEO, President, or Managing Partner. Entrepreneurial Growth is the focus of the University of Georgia Alumni Association’s recognition program – recognizing the fastest-growing businesses regardless of size by focusing on a three-year compounded annual growth rate average.
